Omada’s Partnership With ICY Security Fuels 400% Employee Growth

Omada, a market leading vendor in IT security solutions and services for identity management and access governance, today announced their deepened partnership with ICY Security has helped bring about 400% headcount growth for ICY Security in 2018.

Since 2016, ICY Security and Omada have been working together to deliver Omada’s Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solution: Omada Identity Suite (OIS) for joint customers. OIS is acclaimed for its business-centric approach that uses best-practice processes to access control, helping customers run their business effectively with an all-in-one identity management and access governance solution.

By generating a clear overview of users’ access rights to data and resources that outlines which access they have, how they received it, when and why, OIS empowers organizations to manage identities across heterogeneous IT-systems, as both an on-premises and SaaS offering.

With a strong Danish presence, ICY Security has an acute understanding of the local IGA market and large influence in the area, which has been primarily been utilized in project management and business consulting with Omada.

As ICY Security has seen the potential in the market grow, they have looked to deepen their partnership with Omada to increase their capabilities around the technical implementation of OIS, thereby adding further value to each project they deliver – from both a product and business point of view.

Kasper Ahrensburg, CEO of ICY Security says: “It was a strategic decision from us that we wanted to invest heavily in this area because we share Omada’s vision of the market and the potential here. We knew we had to grow fast and be the first movers on this and make a big investment.”

“We started by hiring one technician who had to learn the whole platform,” Kasper says, “But when Omada implemented their new Training Camp program last year, we thought it was an excellent idea for everyone to get an overview of things and not just have small fractions of knowledge about the platform. We have since increased our team numbers substantially and now have 16 people trained, with more to come later this month.”

“The Training Camp is a 15-day long case-based activity where participants, together with a small team of other course members, go through an end-to-end, simulated OIS project supervised by our IGA experts within the different stages,” Veronika says.

“The aim is to fast-track their understanding of how to practically configure OIS for an IGA project right from the start. IGA involves all of the business, and if you don’t understand all the users, processes and steps involved in it, you won’t get the most value out of it.”
